Dr. Robert L. Knight

Bob Knight is president and cofounder of BKi. He has over 25 years of professional experience in planning and evaluating innovations in transportation, electricity use, and land use. He has been responsible for many studies of both the market potential and adoption effects of such technologies as rapid transit, fuel cell and electric vehicles, and comprehensive home energy retrofits. In addition, Dr. Knight has consulted extensively in the commercialization of a variety of end-use technologies for the electric power industry. Dr. Knight holds a Ph.D. in urban systems analysis from Northwestern University's Technological Institute. His other degrees include an M.S. in industrial engineering and management and a B.S. in civil engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.

Richard J. Myhre, P.E.

Rich Myhre has played an integral role in BKi’s growth since 1986. Heading up company activities in energy supply and environmental control, his work centers on evaluating and advancing technologies to improve the cost, efficiency, reliability, and environmental performance of electric power generation. Many projects are shaped by emerging market and regulatory issues in the electric power industry. Mr. Myhre has also surveyed energy-efficient end-use technologies for major market sectors. Mr. Myhre has 25 years of professional experience in research planning and management, benefits assessment, and process plant engineering. He holds an M.A. from the Energy and Resources Group at the University of California, Berkeley, and a BS in mechanical engineering from the University of Wisconsin. He is a registered mechanical engineer in the State of California, and serves on the operating board for the North American Pacific District of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.

 

Dr. Oreste M. Bevilacqua
Chairman Emeritus

Reste Bevilacqua, a cofounder of BKi in 1979, served as its chairman until his retirement due to illness in 2003. His accomplishments created a repository of company expertise in technology R&D planning, systems analysis, technology evaluation, marketing strategy development, and product implementation. Dr. Bevilacqua is a nationally recognized expert on alternative-fuel vehicles, including hydrogen-powered fuel cell vehicles. Dr. Bevilacqua holds a Ph.D. in transportation engineering and urban systems analysis from the University of California, Berkeley; an MS in transportation engineering from the University of Minnesota; and a BS in engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles.
