In addition to operating its own emissions laboratory, CAVTC has several offsite emissions testing operations. These include the long-term operation of other emissions testing laboratories owned by state and Federal government agencies, as well as a staff in Los Angeles handling all private-vehicle procurement functions for the California Air Resources Board laboratory. CAVTC also specifies, builds, and commissions new testing laboratory facilities both for clients and its own use. In addition to complete specification, installation, and commissioning of its all-new Hayward laboratory systems and fully renovating and modernizing the CaTTS heavy-duty facility in Richmond, CAVTC installed and brought online a four-wheel drive dynamometer laboratory at DaimlerChrysler’s new Alabama factory.
